Character Analysis

Wendy is the fifth child and fourth daughter of Robert and Jennifer Fairchild.

Down to earth and softspoken, Wendy is by far the most mellow of her siblings. Like her younger brother, Ben, she is completely fluent in French. Though shy, she was enrolled with Melanie at the town's dance studio, where she was quite accomplished in ballet. Unlike her younger sister, Wendy eventually tired of the dance, and, in 1993, she entered university to become a general practice physician.

In 1999, after receiving her MBBS, when she was 23 and he was going on 20, she and Geoff began an intimate and seemingly fulfilling relationship that lasted about a year before, for unknown reasons, they split up.

The year she broke up with Geoff, her second year of medical school, she met and fell in love with fellow student, Eliot Irons. The two were married in 2001 and had their first child, Nora, in 2004. They took posts at the hospital in her hometown.

In 2005, it was Wendy and her husband who were called on to deliver Diana's baby when she went into premature labor, and, again, later that year, when Kate gave birth to baby Nicole.

Eliot and Wendy had their second and final child, Christopher, in 2006.
