Character Analysis
Born seven minutes after her twin brother, Oliver, Beth is the second of Robert and Jennifer Fairchild's children.
Being the eldest, she and Oliver often aided their mother in the rearing of their six younger siblings. She treats her family with love and respect and, like her twin brother, is strong-willed and persuasive.
In 1989, at the age of seventeen, she began her path towards becoming an Obstetrician, earning her MBBS and entering Medical school in 1994.
In 1999, she married buisnessman, Samuel Paris, having her first and only child, Dana, with him a year later. After a rocky marriage, they were divorced in 2003, with custody of their daughter granted to Beth.
Like her siblings, Beth is very artistic, specializing in painting. She still paints in her off-time while holding down her career as a OB/GYN.
While still dating now and then, Beth never remarried, preferring to raise her daughter on her own.
"~and I have earned my disillusionment...I have been working all of my life. And I am a patriot...I have been fighting the good fight. And what if there are no damsels in distress? What if I knew that and I called your bluff? Don't you think every kitten figures out how to get down... whether or not you ever show up?
I am not a pretty girl. I don't want to be a pretty girl. No, I want to be more than a pretty girl.~"
